IC Information:
Name: Alata | Reincarnated as Arata "Al" Amagi
Canon: Tensou Sentai Goseiger
Age: 21 | now 19 in his current life
Preincarnation Appearance: You decide whether or not he's angel.
Any differences: Well he won't be wearing that red hoodie with the "SKICK POWER" written on his back though. Other than that, none!

Preincarnated History:
Since ancient times, there exists a branch of humanity who were born and gifted with mystical powers by the Earth. They were called the Gosei Angels. These angels hid themselves from the humans as a means of not disturbing their peace. At the same time, they have watched over humans and all living things on Earth, and dedicated themselves to use their power in protecting their home planet. And ever since, the Gosei Angels have looked after the Earth for many years, from generation to generation.

Alata is a young Gosei Angel. He hails from the Skick Tribe, one of the three tribes of Gosei Angels who command can the power of the wind. Not much is stated about Alata's childhood, other than the fact that he grew up in their world most of the time. That, and he was good friends with an angel of the same tribe, Eri, who taught him a few Tensou Techniques while still in their early years.

By the time Alata was of age, he along with Eri, the siblings Agri and Moune from the Landick Tribe, and Hyde of the Seaick Tribe, were sent down to the surface by their leader Master Head to train and become full-fledged Gosei Angels, as Goseigers. All was well for the angels as they went with their training. That is until an alien empire called the Warstars made their appearance and threatened to invade the planet. The Warstars would then make their first strike at the Tower of Heaven, the only bridge for Gosei Angels to cross from their world to the Earth's surface, and destroyed it, leaving Alata and co. stranded on the surface and unable to return to their home. After a brush with the Warstar's second-in-command, Dereputa of the Meteor, Alata's rage fuels and has sworn to stop and defeat the Warstars.

During their stay on Earth, Alata quickly befriends a young boy named Nozomu, whom he helped out with his personal troubles. He even trusted the kid to keep their true identities and their mission a secret to everyone after getting busted during their first meeting. And it's thanks to Nozomu that he even gave the angels a place to stay. And as time passes, Alata and his friends learned a bit more about humans, their culture and the beauty of their home planet. He even learned about his comrades as well, and grew very close to them.

At the same time, Alata and his friends have fought the Warstars numerous times. And by the time the Warstars realized that their numbers were dwindling, their leader, Mons Drake of the Planets, got pretty serious about it. And things didn't fare any better for Mons Drake after his right-hand man, Dereputa, was defeated by the hands of the Goseigers. That, and his loyal subject, Buredoran of the Comet, had failed to produce any good results in the conquest. It was the final straw for Mons Drake, as he made his appearance on the Earth's surface, and threatened mankind along with the Goseigers that he would destroy the world in less than 24 hours. And after a long and fierce battle, Alata and his friends had won. The threat was averted, the planet was saved, and the Warstars were gone for good.

Well, that's what his friends thought, that is.

For Alata however, the battle was not over yet. While everyone celebrated their success, Alata sensed a familiar evil presence from afar, and was deeply troubled by it. And before he knew it, his friends were taken down one by one. One of them identified who the attacker was. It was Dereputa of the Meteor, who sought revenge against his nemesis, Alata. It was a one-on-one fight between him and Dereputa. Though brief and intense, Alata won the match, and peace had been restored for him, and for his friends.

But the story doesn't end there just yet.

Two days after Dereputa's defeat, Alata immediately sensed another evil presence through the wind. A new threat, the Yuumajuu, was freed by Buredoran (and revealed to be a part of the Yuumajuu) after 10,000 years of being sealed inside the Erurei Box by the Gosei Angels of the past. With the Yuumajuu on the loose, they proceeded with their plan like what they did 10,000 years ago. To pollute the Earth and make it habitable for the Yuumajuu to thrive in, becoming their paradise.

And despite the Goseigers' efforts in holding them off, it showed that they were no match to the new threat, and were quickly overpowered. However with the Yuumajuu freed triggered the mysterious Gosei Knight to awaken from his long 10,000 slumber. With Gosei Knight by their side, their power evened with the enemy. Unfortunately for the Goseigers, getting Gosei Knight to cooperate was not easy thanks to the latter's coldness. Their relationship was rocky at first, but after a few brief encounters, Gosei Knight acknowledged the help of the Goseigers, and then later became allies.

Later on the Abare Headder, a Headder sealed by the Gosei Angels of the past due to its wild nature, awoke from its slumber. Alata reacted to its power, sensing its wild aura. He and the Goseigers decided to check it out, but as they arrived, they had inadvertently broken the ancient seal. A chance Buredoran took as he grabbed his hands on the Abare Headder. But despite the fact that the Headder's power is in the hands of Buredoran, Alata had managed to commune with the wild Headder and tamed it, as it revealed itself in its true form: Miracle Dragon Headder. With the Headder's form revealed, it has granted the Goseigers a new power, attaining Miracle Gosei Power. The Yuumajuu were then distressed by the turn of events, knowing that their enemy will overpower them soon enough.

After a brief inner conflict, as well as Buredoran's betrayal and death, the enemy pulled one last trick on their sleeve. They used the Erurei Box's power onto the Yuumajuu's leader, Makuin of the Blob, to spread his toxic slime molds around the world, close to perfecting their plan to create the Earth as their paradise. It was a life-and-death situation for Alata and his friends. But thanks to their sheer determination, and with the help of Master Head's power, the Goseigers defeated the Yuumajuu, but at the cost of losing Master Head in the process. Nonetheless, peace was once again restored.

So okay, it all ends here, and everyone's happy, right?

Nope.

It didn't take long, and the robots of the Matrintis Empire, a civilization that sank beneath the sea during ancient times, finally surfaced after centuries of dormancy underneath the sea. And this time, they have planned to enslave all of humanity and take the Earth as their own. What's worse, they've brought Buredoran back, but had his memory wiped, was remodeled into a cyborg and was christened as Buredo-RUN of the Cyborg. The Matrintis were a formidable foe for the Goseigers, outwitting the angels with their advanced weaponry.

And then there was one point during the Matrintis Arc where Alata was sent back in time thanks to the Matroid, Baktofuji-ER of the Timer. He arrived around the time before the Tower of Heaven was destroyed, and thought it would be a good chance to save the tower on time. However, there was an issue, as his friends, unlike their present selves, did not trust Alata when he tried to gather them up and asked for their help. So he went off to stop the tower's destruction on his own, that is until Baktofuji-ER gets in Alata's way. And while Alata was in a pinch, his friends arrive just in time, realizing what was going on, and decided to help him out. The Goseigers destroyed Baktofuji-ER's machinery, which then returns Alata back to his current time. From there, Alata grew a little more serious on his duties as a Goseiger.

Afterwards, the Matrintis revealed themselves to the public, declaring an all-out attack on humanity. Robogog, the empire's leader, carefully planned out their attack, wiping out the Goseigers before they could strike. However to Robogog, there was a slight miscalculation in the plan, as the Goseigers still kept on fighting. The outcome was the same as the previous two threats that Alata dealt with, but with a slight twist. Buredoran, who was with Robogog's side most of the time, betrayed his own master and destroyed Robogog. It was later revealed that Buredoran was also in fact a Gosei Angel by the name of Brajira of the Messiah, but was exiled from his kind as a fallen Gosei Angel. And everything that he did while he was in his Buredoran guise, it was all according to his plan.

It was soon discovered that Brajira's goal was to end all life, to recreate the Earth with his Dark Gosei power, and become the planet's savior. And while Alata and the rest battled against Brajira's Headders, they have unknowingly helped their enemies' plans, turning the Headders into wedges, key points for the Nega End ceremony, once they are defeated. With all three wedges intact, Brajira waited for the upcoming solar eclipse and initiated the Nega End. Once Brajira activated the wedges, he began his final battle with the Goseigers. Though the long and grueling battle concluded with Brajira's defeat, the fallen angel sacrificed himself to the ceremony, as he plans to take the Goseigers down with him, continuing the Nega End with the wedges drilling itself down to the Earth's core.

The effects of Nega End gave the Goseigers little time to prevent the world from ending. But thanks to everyone's sheer determination, they managed to combine all their powers, creating the Gosei Global technique. The wedges disappeared, the chaos subsided, and everything was back to normal. And at the same time, the Goseigers' powers managed to reconnect the bridge from the Earth's surface to their world, rebuilding the Tower of Heaven.

At last, peace returned to the Earth once more.

After Brajira's defeat, Master Head finally acknowledges Alata and his friends as full-fledged Gosei Angels. They were no longer called apprentices, and they have proven themselves to be capable of protecting the Earth. Though they are free to return home, the five angels decided to stay on the surface to be with the humans, and learn more about the Earth while they continue to protect it in secret. In the end of the show, Alata and everyone bid their last farewells to each other, and went on to their new lives on the surface.

Reincarnated History
January 1st, 1994, Japan. Hayato Amagi, a helicopter pilot, along with his wife Angela, an English teacher who moved to Japan from the States due to her work, welcomed the New Year as they celebrated the birth of their firstborn son, Arata. And to think that he'd be born of the first day of the first month of the year, the couple knew heaven had blessed them with a child who, they thought would bring good fortune throughout their lives.

But sadly, luck had turned against the couple as time passed by. At age five, his father met an accident while touring around with his helicopter, leaving the young boy heartbroken. Two years later, his mom's contract was finished, which forced the two to leave Japan and move to his mother's home country instead. These turn of events saddened young Arata. But with a few words of encouragement from his mother, he managed to move on and keep his chin up. After all, there was nothing he could do. But he hoped it would work out later on.

Afterwards, they moved into his mom's hometown, Locke City, where they stayed with Hayato's sister, Tsubame Amagi. Fortunately for them, she was nice enough to let them stay in her home. Besides, they were family after all. She wouldn't want to disappoint her brother anyway.

And so, young Arata lived the rest of his life in Locke City. He managed to cope up and adapt to his new environment, one that's different to Japan. He even made new friends, and was eventually nicknamed "Al" thanks to them. All was well for Al, and was right about his days in Locke City would work out somehow. Well... that is until during his Junior year in high school, he discovered his mother was contracted with a terrible illness, and was told she wouldn't live very long. Al was rather distraught after hearing the news. And because of his bleeding heart, he decided to drop out of high school in order to help his mother in recovering from her illness.

Al eventually took up a job as a waiter at Aikawa's, a Japanese restaurant owned by the Aikawa family. Though the pay is small, it was good enough for Al. It was the only way to help her after all. Even his aunt helped out in supporting his mother. Both of them worked hard to earn for his mother's recovery. Things seem to work out for everyone. But as months pass by, his aunt gave Al tragic news: His mother passed away.

Though saddened by the turn of events, Al remains to keep his chin up. He did what he could, after all. Though his mother may be gone, he still has his only known relative left, his aunt, Tsubame.

So three years have passed since his mother's death, and at the present day, Al had no plans in returning to school. Plus he enjoyed working with the Aikawas during that time. Therefore he decided to remain to work at Aikawa's and help his aunt out in the meantime.

(Note from MC: I've asked Airdra/Hajime Aikawa's mun long ago while working on this app, and she approves of letting Al work at his restaurant. So it's all good. :|b)

First Echo:
During his younger years, he and his mom were passing by a church with a bunch of angel statues standing next to the doorway. Al innocently asked why there are angels standing there and why they weren't in heaven. And then his mother, amused by this, replied with this:

"Sweetie, they're Guardian Angels. And these Guardian Angels are there because they have a mission to fufill. To protect those who're entering the church. It's their duty after all."

Hearing those words made young Al space out for a moment. Something on the back of his mind is trying to tell him something, but he shook it off and quickly snapped back to reality. His first echo hasn't exactly kicked in until they returned home and eventually went off to bed. The memory of one his past self's battles appeared in his dream. He noticed that he was older, stronger and faster in his dream. He was facing against what seemed to be a large insect-like monster. But he wasn't alone; he was accompanied by people in strange suits and helmets. And then he heard himself saying this:

"Protecting the planet is an angel's duty!"

The dream stops there, and young Al woke up with a start, mystified by this. And from then on, that memory seemed to have ingrained in his mind.

Preincarnation Personality:
One of his teammates simply described Alata's personality having "the gentleness of a soft breeze, and the fierceness of a whirlwind". These are two aspects that make Alata who he really is.

The Skick Tribe is well known in his world for being simple-minded and terribly optimistic. And since Alata is from that tribe, he pretty much carries these traits. His positive nature comes with a calm, outgoing and carefree personality. He's the kind of person who wouldn't worry too much. And when everyone feels down, he'll perk up and even try to lift their spirits. This is all because he believes that, no matter what, everything will turn out alright. This kind of mindset has ingrained into his brain ever since he was little. And according to Eri, those of the Skick Tribe actually share this way of thinking.

I should mention that Alata's kind and selfless heart is one of his defining traits. Helping people out is what he likes to do most as a Gosei Angel. To him, no matter how small the matter is, he would do his very best to make things work out. Heck, there was one time he used his power just to keep the woman's hat from falling to the river. And there's a rule that Gosei Angels aren't allowed to use their powers indiscreetly. But to Alata, it didn't matter to him if he broke that rule, just as long as it helps people bring happiness. And he swore to himself that he would protect the people’s happiness.

Now I shall also mention Alata's other defining trait: his determination. This is where "the fierceness of a whirlwind" comes in. And good lord, I mean it when I say his willpower is REALLY strong. He would always say that he would never give up. Once he believes in something, he will strongly defend it. Like his faith in humanity is one. It's what drives Alata to keep on fighting and fufill his mission as a Gosei Angel. Here's also another example of Alata's determination: When he found a troubled Nozomu struggling and eventually giving up on doing a flip, he tries to prove to the young boy that he could do it too. Alata struggled to perfect it. And no matter how many times he tried and failed, he kept going. Even while battling Dereputa, he still attempts to do the flip, until eventually he managed to do so.

"For now, let's just try."

Okay, that? That's his usual catchphrase. He says this every time he meets a challenge, and when things seem bleak or tough to deal with. He puts in a lot of effort with what he's doing, and it shows. There was one point in the show where he was asked to draw something, but he quickly declined and ran out of fear and embarrassment due to the fact that his drawing skills are... not that great really. He was at the point of giving up (surprisingly coming from this guy, really), but takes a little bit of encouragement from his friends, and at the same time reminded him of his usual catchphrase, to give it another chance. And hey, he did! Only, it worked too well... resulting in Alata's passion in art to grow. We can't say if he's getting any better either. But he is trying.

Teamwork and friendship is something he values, a lot. Though he is the type who would risk himself to protect his comrades, he'd rather encourage everyone to protect the Earth WITH him. This was demonstrated around one of the show's last episodes, where all of his friends decided to pass on their power to Alata in order for him to defeat Brajira, but at the cost of their own lives in exchange. Alata however, firmly declined, and wanted everyone to fight with him instead, combining all their powers without sacrificing their lives. Although he's not very reliant with his friends, he loves to have them around.

Aside from all that, Alata is very expressive. His feelings can be easily read through his expressions or his body language. When he feels tense, or senses trouble, it shows on his face. And whenever he's feeling cheerful, you can even tell by watching him skip on the streets like a schoolgirl.

Overall, Alata is kind-hearted yet headstrong. He will do what he thinks is right, and beat the crap out of evildoers, bestowing them divine punishment. It’s the usual superhero-ish aspects. But not a lot of people see these aspects due to his naivety and airheaded nature. He's seen getting lost in his thoughts or act without even thinking most of the time.

Any differences:
So I'm just going to point this out. As Arata Amagi, he is no longer a Gosei Angel. He's an ordinary human, therefore born without any mystical power granted by the planet. Since that's the case, in his entire life he no longer carries the responsibilities of a Gosei Angel, to watch over all the living things that surround the planet. He no longer fights giant alien monsters, or robots, or whatever evil entity you can think of. And unlike his past self who spent half of his life in the skies where everything was quiet and peaceful, Al spent 19 years on the earth's surface with a loving mother and aunt, and faced so much pain and hardships, such as the deaths of his father, and later of his mother. He's not anymore a guardian of the earth. Rather, he's just an ordinary guy who works at a Japanese restaurant.

Back then, his past self is not exactly familiar with how he should act or behave with other humans. That was because before he was sent to the Earth's surface for training, most of his life was spent in his home, the Gosei World. A world away from the humans. He may know a few things about them, but that was it, really. The rest, he's pretty much clueless about it. In his current life however, changes everything. That's all because Al lived his entire life as a human, therefore his social skills are a lot better compared to his previous life.

His kind and selfless heart still remains in Al, but reaches to the point that he actually sacrificed his schooling just to help out his mother. Unlike his past self, who hates giving up on things, Al is willing to give up and make sacrifices for the sake of others. It didn't matter to him that he'll never graduate, nor even find a suitable path for his future. If it's for the good of everyone else, then he'll definitely comply.

And since there's no Skick Tribe existing in the game, a good explanation for Al's optimistic nature is because he merely picked up his late mother's enthusiasm. Being raised with only your mother does wonders.

Abilities:
Being a Gosei Angel means that Alata has powers and abilities no normal human can do. Like for example: casting elemental attacks, summoning weapons, calling out a giant robot, and flight. These are called Tensou Techniques. All of these techniques are used through Gosei Power, which I shall explain further about these later on.

As I mentioned above, these angels come from three different tribes: Skick, Seaick, and Landick. Each tribe represents a certain element, and carries certain traits and abilities. In Alata's case, he's from the Skick Tribe. And angels of the Skick Tribe are, of course as the name implies, affiliated with the sky and the wind, therefore uses only wind-based abilities. It's also implied that the Skick tribe is trained to move nimbly, and is best in speed. Other special Skick Tribe abilities include being able to commune to the wind, and their sensitivity to sound waves.

But according to one of his friends, Alata is a rather special case. And it is mentioned that he is ten times sensitive in picking up things through the wind's breeze. His unique ability enables him to sense different auras from afar. It also shows that he can even pick up certain thoughts or feelings coming from another person, even from afar. Kind of like an empath.

Now let's talk about Gosei Power. According to the show, Gosei Power is actually the Earth's energy or pulse. The Earth gave the angels this power for them to protect the planet. This is basically why these angels are given this huge responsiblity. There is a limit however. Since it is energy, of course, it can be drained. However, as I stated earlier, if one attempts to pass on or transfer their Gosei Power to strengthen the other, it's proven to be fatal to the former and will lose their life once they do so. In the show, Gosei Power is usually shown as this glowy golden power emnating around the angel, and often times it comes with the angel showing off his wings. Yes, he can spread out large, white, feathery wings. And he can fly with them too!

As I mentioned before, Alata is able to use Tensou Techniques, which are powered by their Gosei Power. All these techniques are stored in Gosei Cards. And to use them, he'll need the Tensouder to release the cards' power. It's also revealed in the show that when he loses control of his power, the cards' picture will temporarily become grey, and then later blank, losing the card's power. He'll need to regain control of his power if he needed to use the card. Here's a list of the cards he has in the show!

Other than that, it's also shown that combat-wise, Alata is very proficient with swordplay and the use of guns.

Roleplay Sample – Third Person:
As Al was asked to take out trash by his aunt, he stepped outside with one hand holding a large bag of this week's garbage. But once he got out of the house, he did not expect a visitor at this time of hour. Especially when said visitor was a familiar face to Al.

He smiled.

"Hey there little guy!" Al piped up.

It was a cat. Of shorthair breed, and with golden fur. It was the same cat that always showed up whenever Al leaves for work or takes out the trash. It had been stopping by at his house for the past few weeks, sitting on the trash bin or lounging on the front porch. This time, it's just lying on the pavement. He figured it was here for the food again. With the bag still on his hand, he approached the stray and stroke its fur with his free hand.

"Ne, don't you have a place to stay? Isn't there anyone looking for you?"

...Well, it's not like he expected to get a reply from it. It's a cat after all. And the only response he could get from it was a stare, then later proceeded to roll on the ground. How cute, Al thought as he chuckled to himself.

"Hmm... I'm sure there aren't any missing cat posters the last time I checked." There was a bit of contemplation in his voice. Sure, probably no one's going to look for that cat, but he really doesn't have the heart to leave it behind either. Since those past few weeks, it seemed the cat grew fond of having Al around feeding it so...

"Alright, it's settled!" said Al as he places the bag into the bin, "Starting today, this'll be your new home!"

Yes, this seemed like a good idea. In all honesty, he really wanted a pet ever since he was little, but he never had the chance in visiting the pet store. And he was pretty sure he recalled his aunt mentioning herself being more fond of cats. That's good, really good. Looks like everything worked out in the end for Al.

And so, he picked up the shorthair into his arms, and went back inside the house. He couldn't wait to see the look on his aunt's face. She would be so thrilled!

Roleplay Sample - Network:
[Guess who couldn't contain his happiness today? He just had to post it up on his blog. ...Though unaware to Al, it gets crossposted to the network as well.]

Everyone~! How are you doing? ( ^ v ^)/

I was about to take out the trash earlier, but when I stepped outside, look who I found!

[Al puts up a picture of himself and a cat right after he finishes that sentence.]

Isn't he cute~? ( ^ v ^)~♥

He always shows up outside of my home. Usually sitting on the trash bin or near the porch. I'm sure the little guy's a stray. I don't see any of those missing cat posters nearby, so...

I'm keeping him! Isn't that great?

Hey, do you think Kin-chan would be a good name for him? (*' v ')~?

Any Questions? None!
